Intermittent Fasting: From the Perspectives of Science and Traditions

February 8 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

ONLINE EVENT

Intermittent fasting is a broad term that encompasses a wide range of time-restricting eating patterns. It doesn’t prescribe specific foods to eat or the amount of calories to consume, but rather focuses on when you should eat.

Traditional approaches to fasting have been practiced for centuries in various cultures and often have cultural, religious, or spiritual significance.

In modern medicine, intermittent fasting has been associated with several potential health benefits such as;

  • Cancer Prevention
  • Improved insulin sensitivity
  • Weight management
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Cellular repair and clean-up
  • Brain health
  • Inflammation modulation

… though it’s crucial to approach intermittent fasting with caution!

In this workshop we will review fasting from both traditional and contemporary perspective; and learn the basics of supportive time-restricted diets, how to implement it safely into our lifestyle, and support our health and wellbeing.
